Creatin and Tobra

O.K.- so my I.V. Tobra was abruptly and unexpectedly halted this morning. I have been on it since Friday. They took blood from my arm (Tobra trough) on Saturday or Sunday. They called me and said my "levels" were high and then lowered the dose. Then I gave more blood last night and they called today and said there was a problem with my levels still. They were actally higher! I am not sure exactly which "levels they meant and am going to ask later. So I stopped Tobra this morning and they want to get more blood from me today. (those vampires, ha ha) They told me my creatine (sp?) had been elevated since I started I.V.s I am still taking imipenem..... it is dripping right now........ and I am fretting about my poor lil' kidneys! I think the creatin and the tobra levels are separate things, no? Also, even though the tobra is halted I am still worried about my other meds, especially imipenem, affecting my kidneys. I am keeping tabs to make sure I don't hear "ringing in my ears" an am going to start drinking more water. Has anyone that experienced this or something similar have advice for me?

i'm 4' 11" and weigh 101 lbs
i was on it twice a day. after they lowered it i was on 400mg twice a day and it was still too high. so far so good with balance- i'll keep an eye on that too.
