if you noticed her haveing a hard time with bm's that may be a clue too. gassy and hardening of the stomach was a big sign to us too. I at first thought it was strange how much he spit up and then it became projectile( after diagnosis) but it reminded me of my daughters milk allergy, which can cause alot of issues like spitting up vomiting, diareah or constipation, mucussy raspy brathing, really alot of simialer thing, we tried her on all kind of formula and all had their effects, finally after alot of research i found she was allergic to the whey and their is nothing whey free except soy and she got reallt constipated on that. I ended up putting her on goats milk, I would love to now put Brandon on it but my Dr. says no

Wow this has me thinking back of Madi as an infant. She didn't spit up a lot, but there was a time frame that she could not be on her belly for at least 2 hours after eating because she would spit up. Madi did have solid, hard poops as well, but the dr said not to worry, it was the formula. Her weight gain was normal and still is. She did lose weight when she had her gastro infection last month, but she was pooping up to 20 times a day for about 6 days. My biggest worry has always been croup- it keeps coming back. And since she had it last, 6 weeks ago, she has had virus after virus.

I hear a lot of people mention the PKU testing... would CF should in that test? I had that done after she was born and nothing came of it. I would if that is a standard test or different from place to place.. I live in Canada.

I am not familiar with that test. I would just pray and see how this test goes and go from there. you can deff. go crazy if you consume yourself with stuff you can't control. when we were in the waiting stage I just tried to educate myself so if it was positiv I had a heads up, plus I already just knew in my heat he had it. as a mom I think if you listen to your intuition it tells you allot.
