My reply is directed to Kevin, who originated this section of the forum.I don't cycle as a sport where I live now, but I used to hop on my 10 speed when I didn't have a car twenty years ago. Where I live, my major form of transportation was walking or bicycling. I never had gotten the money for the 10 speed I wanted (I prefer an ATB over an MTB), but I'm sure I could find places to tour with it.It doesn't snow here, but the winters get pretty brisk. Until an injury, I was involved heavily in martial arts. I didn't like jogging, and I had knee problems from one of my martial arts injuries, anyway.Since my injury, I've had to think of something else to do. I was contemplating on swimming for fitness, yet didn't want to leave any other ideas out. It's good to hear you enjoy cycling. I know about the hydration, I did it once in one of my martial arts classes--Scary!Unfortunately, if I cycled, my course would contain intervals of stop lights, oncoming traffic, and intersections with no stop signs (or ones everyone ignores!)I'd have to do a little more research as to where I could take an easier trail to enjoy. I'm keeping cycling as an idea, and I think my wife would enjoy it, too!
