Thanks Risa,

Just had a couple questions.

How did you cook the eggs?

Also, you said it made four servings? So I assume you put it all in the fridge. What do you store it in?

Jfarel,

Please be careful with those soy protein powders... even though it says soy, it does not always mean it's dairy free. I always check the ingredients on those because it can be misleading. Dairy can also come in the form of whey or casseinates (sp?). Have fun blending away!

yeah, I know. I usually try to check. I think I'm going to try Risa's Recipe to start with. I just have to figure out how to add the eggs since I don't want to use raw ones. I know you need to cook and blend them but what's the best way to cook them. Microwave? Saucepan?

Sorry John

I have been away from this site. If you ever need to get in touch, I do check emails every single day. Txbuddiesgifts@yahoo.com

I will try making this recipe again and will let you all know the exact ingredients that I use.

I made this protein drink or pudding a few different ways. I love experimenting.

You can buy egg whites and just cook them up in a frying pan. I do not like to fry foods but a tiny bit of oil will do the trick if you want to use oil. I like adding in coconut oil or Toaste Sesame oil for the empty calories and nutritional value and I always like to add the oil into the mixture cold Just my preference.

If I happen to have an extra dozen eggs hanging out in my fridge then I would just cook up six eggs for my recipe.

After this mixture is ready for serving. I added the contents into tuperware or glass bowels.

Adding carob powder or a bit of coccoa might really spice this recipe up into a delcious tasting treat.

One time when I used the carob, the taste was truly fab. unfortunately, I will have to recreate this entire recipe again and post it at a later date.

The dried fruist when blended together add in the sweet flavor to the mixture and boy oh boy does it add extra calories.

ok in a few days, I will go shopping and try to create my healthy version of a protein drink or pudding. I like the pudding idea better. It stores well and you do not need to keep a blender sitting in your fridge.

Whatever floats your boat. You can add it whatever works for you but remember to include eggs for the protein.

I do agree with the above poster about soy protein powders. There are some good ones out there. I think there is even a brown rice protein powder that I took many years ago.

Cassein, whey like the lady said are all dariy products. I cannot stand when a manufacturer calls their product lactose free when it has whey or cassein in them. Just deceptive marketing.
