Hi all, Damien was admitted on the 8th at clinic. We did 10 days of iv antibiotics and he is so much better no more cough. Lots happier and is eating all those things I had tried to feed him. I am amazed at the diffrence in hes additude towards trying the solids.I had only been at the toddler diet for a month but he wouldnt thy anything. He ate everything I gave him at the hospital except papya. I thought it was texture problems. The culture was positive for a coli infection. Gross. improper hand washing or lack of handwashing. It is hard to keep up with my 10 year olds washing.I try to stay on it but who knows if thats how he got it. Anythings possible. But IM so glad I threw out that damn Augumentam in the trash. I knew it was not gonna do anything for him.And like i have seen written over and over and have to agree resistance to antibiotics is a concern. We were suppose to have a 2 week run of gentamican but Dr. said it looked like 10 days was all we were gonna need. So we got to come home 4 days early. . I am so relieved to know Damien wont be trying to cough so hard that he is gaging and throwing up. He put on almost a pound in 10 days They increased hes Zantac to 1. ml 3x a day and gave him flonase instead of rhinocort. And .60 ml iron instead of .15 IM sure thats gonna help. I cant say Im gonna miss sleeping on that chair. I am glad to be home and even more glad Damien is not miserable. The hospital is no fun but watching Damien struggle is 1000 x worse. We needed it, its done, and im glad were home. God Bless.

Aria, welcome back! We're glad that things turned out better for your Damien. What a relief it must be to be home, sleeping in your own bed, and not hearing him cough so bad! Welcome home.

Hi Aria,
Just FYI, I have 6 kids running around my house, so I bought 3 of those industrial type Purell holders that stick on the wall. I have one on the side of the fridge, gameroom wall and the kids bathroom. They use it all the time. I think it helps some!
Glad your home and Damien is feeling better, nothing is worse than watching them suffer.
