daughter giving up

Right to the point. Our 14 year daughter is giving up on everything. We get no cooperation from her in keeping up her meds. She has given up on school work. Straight F's.Although every one of her teachers will say she's the 'sweetest girl'. The school is not keeping up with her needs academically. Although she talks to many friends online and by text..she doesn't go out to do anything with them. She doesn't have any friends over to the house. She would just assume sleep all day. She has been seeing a councilor since February, and she is being treated for depression.
In addition to hearing from parents I'd also like to hear from those that suffer from cf to help give me some insight. We are at an impass as to how to put out many fires in different places. It's consuming and exhausting for us on a daily basis. Our daughter has much potential to realize success. She's having a real bad time.

Excellent book that you need to read:
"Parenting Children with Health Issues" by Foster Cline and Lisa Greene. It addresses many of the problems you are having with your daughter.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 7 and Jack, 5 both with cf, Grant, 3 months no cf

My son went through a similar time when he was younger. We put him on antidepressants and starting with a counselor which helped a ton! Talk to your pediatrician and ask for a psych evaluation. The psychologist will be able to help you figure it out.

Good luck!
