Daughter is experiencing chest pain

My daughter Emily is 7 w/cf. She has been complaining of chest pain on left side of chest (just below heart). She had a chest xray and lungs look okay, but I am still concerned because she complains about it often and she is typically not a complainer. She says it happens when she breaths in, but not all the time. Any thoughts from anyone on this?

Hey I had the exact same thing happen to me when i was in the hospital and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong for 2 weeks even after they did a chest x-ray. They finally did a cat scan and put this iv stuff in me during the cat-scan to light up all the clogged parts in my lungs and found out the side of my lung was collapsed because there was a spot where it was totally blocked and wasn't getting any oxygen, thats why it hurt so much for me to breath or move a certain way. So they had to put me to sleep and do a broncaspocy, but it wasnt that bad cause they didnt even have to put a breathing tube down my throat, they did this new thing instead but i dont know how it works, anyways they just put a tiny camera down my throat and sucked the gunk out and 2 days later the pain was totally gone. I'm not saying thats whats wrong with your daughter, I'm just saying if the doctors still cant figure it out and your daugter is still experiencing pain than maybe you should ask the doctors to get a cat-scan done because they can see alot more with that instead of a chest x-ray. I hope your daughter feels better soon though and i hope this helps you. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
