Dealing with Change Issues...

I just wanted to post a general question to see if anyone can relate to me...

As the entire world knows by now, I am graduating school really soon....and of course that means change, change of job title, and possibly change of department, and or hospital all together...AND I WANT TO BE OPEN TO THAT.... and for me ultimatly since I believe in God, i want to be open to where I feel it is my destiny to be...

I my entire life have become completly panic stricken at the thought of any change..good or bad..sort of like the fear of the unknown.. I have always avoided change at all costs.. and all expense, staying in the same job for a long time, just because I am afraid to move on.

My question, does anyone else have a REALLY hard time with change??? What do you do to overcome it?

Thanks,

Jennifer

I used to, but I think when people fear change what they really fear is people changing. Or themselves changing b/c of other people, or b/c of their new surroundings.
You should accept that some of you will change, for the good, if you are in control of yourself. As long as your most precious values remain, and you don't allow them to change, the changes of surroudings that you are about to have will be a blessing.
You'll get through the fear. You may just have to get to know yourself a little better.

I've always handled change well. Change of job - in the past 5 years I've had 6 jobs, change of living arrangements - I've moved 8 times in the past 5 years. I can't do without change.

I have never really been "afraid" of change, but I hadn't had much change in my life until recently. I graduated uni in 2004 and was offered a job in a different state, and I took it. For me this meant moving out of home (I was still living with my parents and had lived in that home my whole life) to somewhere where I knew NO-ONE, to start full-time work for the first time. It was scary at the time, BUT now I am so glad I did it. There are so many benefits to change that you often don't realise until they hit you over the head! I know this isn't really advice as such, but just letting you know that it is much scarier before the change than during!

Change makes me nervous I will say. The idea of "starting over" after finally getting how I like things to be. Once I am thru the initial change (the idea is scarier than the action) then I am fine.

Hi,
My name is Mac. I would like to ask you a question. Do you know if the CF Foundation has legal assistance available, and if they do how do you contact them?

Sincerely,

Mac, "The PaperWork Guy"
