Hi Debbie and welcome. My son was dx late too; he was 15yo. It is very possible to have no obvious symptoms or for the symptoms to be quite mild.

I'm glad you found us here. This site has been a great source of information and support for me. I hope you find it as helpful as I have.

Yes, you certainly should ask for a full panel ambry -- there are about 1580 genes to look for, chances are very good that they only tested you for less than 100.... not very good odd of finding them!

I believe it would do you a lot of good to get tested and if two genes are found to start all the usual preventative treatments that most people are on... your health will most likely improve.

Good luck, and please keep us posted.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. Yes, The Dr. tested for 40 common genes, yet an accident happened and they did 90. Better, but not as you said the full test. I really don't get why a Dr. does the smaller test and says, you don't have it. It would have been better if I weren't aware of the tests at all. Ignorance is bliss. He tested me for the IGG, IGM and IGA of whooping cough, pertussis. I passed the IGM and failed the other two. I assume there wouldn't be a connection here?
Thanks
NZ PS Good blog!!!!!!
