I figured I would post this here since there are a number of people with CFRD here

My boyfriend (NO cf) just went to the doctors and had routine urine test and they found a lot of protein in his urine. Upon further investigation (web md hehe) I found that this could be an indication of diabetes. Should we be worried? He is going to the hospital this week for more tests. He is very skinny and constantly tired, so I am very worried this could be what it is...

some of the typical symptoms of diabetes are: loss of weight, extreme thirst like nothing you have ever experienced, frequent and very difficult to control urination, and just feeling extremely tired. Did they do just a regular glucose finger prick test on him? If so, what was that number? My best to both of you.

no i have no heard back yet. he seems extremely unworried about it, so hopefully his gut instincts are right. he is procrastinating making an appointment cause he's too busy.... i'm nagging him to get on it!
