the topic summary pretty much says it all, i've just recently been dxed with cfrd and so far i've kept everything in my hoodie pocket, well today was warm enough that i didn't wear a hoodie, so just carried the stuff with me, what do you use to carry your stuff in? I know the women probably put it in their purse but what do the guys do? I definately don't want to carry a "man bag" does anyone have any suggestions?

I need to lighten my load so for my diabetic meter and chemstrips CVS pharmacys or other pharmacy's carry pouches for diabetic supplies. Shop til you find one that suits you. They aren't expensive and it doesn't hurt to have a couple of them in case you need a different size. . Mine is small and black. Also a black hip strap might do for you. They wrap around your hip and buckle in the back or front. These hip bags are usually leather and are mostly something guys don't mind wearing and it frees up the hands and arms. It is carries most everything you need. The company One Touch which has an on line store might have what your looking for too. I hope this was helpful

What about a back pack, although that is quite large just to carry your diabetes stuff. OR Nike makes a vinyl type bag that is sorta small with drawstrings and it comes in all kinds of colors, maybe that? Since, you are still a student I would think it would be pretty easy to carry a back pack or the Nike bag with other stuff in it. As far as when you go out in the evening, do you really need your meter? I do not bring mine out in the evening. If I start to feel low then I just drink some juice or pop if I am out. As far as the insulin, if you have the pen kind which is AWESOME you can stick that in your pocket with a needle and alcohol swab very easily.

Since, you are still a student I would think it would be pretty easy to carry a back pack or the Nike bag with other stuff in it. As far as the insulin, if you have the pen kind which is AWESOME you can stick that in your pocket with a needle and alcohol swab very easily.
