Diagnosed at 39 years old!

Reading posts from the "older and wiser" folks gives me a lot of hope. While being seen currently at Tufts, I will likely switch over to MGH - but wanted to get things started as quickly as I could and that is where I was to start. I do have hope - and am not as upset as some think I should be - to me - an answer is better than not knowing. Knowledge is the key...

Welcome.

I was dx at age 43. My only advice is to get to a good CF center and be proactive. Don't just count on the dr., but learn all you can, yourself, and be your own advocate.

Every person is different. The meds effect us differently.

Do you have a lot of sinus problems? Irrigating your sinuses are a must. I didn't learn that until after my dx.

It's good that you have a diagnosis and can get proper treatment. I was like you and thankful to finally have some answers.

I was also a late dx @ 44 y/o.. It is tough to get the dx but after finding this site & the great ppl here it gave me hope.. Please pm me if you have any questions..
