anybody else, who have known this diagnose since birth?

I think they made a sweating test as well, 25 years ago.
I was born with pneumonia & one night concluded that I am alive now.

I was diagnosed at 3 months after losing 25% of my birth weight, pneumonia, pneumothorax, etc. They thought they had done a sweat test and it came back negative. My parents argued for ages trying to convince the hospital that they hadnt done it. Finally, they "repeated" it. I was off the charts.

THe hospital and docs sent me home with no enzymes, no suggestion of chest PT, no nebulizers, NOTHING.
They literally told my parents to take me home and let me die.
Nice.

Well, the docs that said that all predeceased me, so......*grin*
Oh, and my parents never went back to Children's even though we lived in Boston.....
Instead, they always drove me 5 hours to NYC every month to a fabulous doc who actually cared.
She saved my life.
We named our eldest daughter after her.

I was d/x about 6 months old, had bronchitis and taken to the hospital where they stuck a tube in my neck, I guess to help me breathe. Yeah, doctors said I would not make it to 18. I am 41 and going strong. Have had 2 great doctors who really care since I was 12 years old. Have twin 9 year old girls now through invitro. Married 16 years to my wonderful wife. fev around 60.
