If you are in DC, take the 2 hr drive to Richmond. VA at VCU Medical Center. Dr. Schmidt is awesome and will personally look at your child and listen to your concerns!

i go to hopkins now...use to go to wvu...i wanted to take my daughter to childrens in pittsburgh its supposed to be very good, but my insurance wouldnt pay for it.

I'm in an adult study at NIH but I have heard good things about Hopkins...I agree with Harriett. I would be very uncomfortable if it was my child.
I'd make some calls to the clinics. Hopefully they'll look at his situation more closely!

Thanks for the advice and support. My son's (Adam) first cousin once removed was dx at birth and they have used Dr. Chancey (I think this is right). My husband's cousin (Lauren) called them and discussed Adam's case and they are seeing him next Tuesday! They are out of National Children's Hospital. Lauren says it is not very aesthetically pleasing but once you get to the CF Clinic, everyone is compassionate and caring and knowledgable.
