Did Albert Einstein have CF?

Yeah, so I already knew that Chopin, one of my favorite classical composers, suffered from CF, or so state the speculations. Apparently he was this little pissy thing who was always coughing as he went through his wonderful compositions and getting angry at everyone. I have to say this makes me smile.

Now I came across websites that say that Albert Einstein suffered from CF, which in my opinion is highly unlikely since he died in his 70s and smoked like a chimney. Nonetheless, maybe he had a very mild condition, but how come no one has ever talked about this?

I stay skeptical, but check out the websites below.... maybe we truly are a rare breed, and a bunch of f*cking geniuses...

LOL.

I always wonder the same about people in my family. I have a HUGE family tree and would love to know more about some ancestors. I guess it is something we can always ponder...

Neither are confirmed. Chopin certainly had many respiratory symptoms and a few close relatives who also died young, but there has been resistance to test the heart tissue that was sent back to Poland after his death to confirm he actually had CF.

Einstein was thought to have had CF but it has also not been confirmed. Einstein died of a ruptured Aortic aneurysm at the age of 76.

Many doctors here think Chopin had cf but it's not confirmed and the Ministry of Culture does not allow to do genetic tests on his remains - heart tissue from his remians burried in Cracov in Poland. They don't want to hear anything about excavating and taking samples
However they are trying to do genetic tests on his sister's remians - if anything comes out - I'll let you know.
P.s. My parents live just a few minutes away from Zelzowa Wola - birth place of Chopin. A very nice place and region.
