They Say He did Have Cf, But His Heart has been pickled in brandy
since his death, So I don't think it can be tested even if the Polish Gov. will
allow it....

I talked with a Group of Cf Docs back in the late 80s who were working
on a study on John Henry Holiday (Doc Holiday ). They believed that He also had Cf.

It was thought that He caught TB from His Mother. But the catch is
that He didn't show any symptoms until 6 years after her death.
So it Could Not have been TB that did the Ole Doc in..

This Group was trying to get permission from His Family to have his
body exhumed. His family denied permission..

Doc died Nov.8,1887. It was a cold winter. So the body was burried
in a shsllow grave in town and was to be moved after the spring thaw.
The Glenwood Springs Records say He is buried in the Linwood Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, although the exact location of his grave is unknown.

sure is interesting, but the way the last part of the article puts it, we all could be master composers of timeless works, and while we are at it, if we get doc holiday too, we could be gun slinging law men too! just think, all of us head down to the ok corral and write music after we chase out the bad guys.
it would be cool to know that these people died of cf instead of whatever, but other than a game of trivial pursuit does it really matter? is it worth finding and digging up a body or picking through a pickled heart? sure would be cool though

I think the general idea of this is to not be discouraged about your own future since this is suggesting the idea that some famouous people had CF (but were either misdiagnosed, undiagnosed or the diagnosis wasn't available in that era)
I, for a long time never really put any long term goals in my head...they were somewhat short, but had a "duration" time in some cases. Perhaps the suggestion is for the "younger generation" to put a few long-term goals in mind.
