from comments we've heard I know alot of people wouldn't be doing therapies, medication we do for Jess on a regular basis because she is doing well right now.
<br />but we know how quickly that could change.
<br />We do the prescribed treatments.

<br />but it's not often thown in our face with rude comments.
<br />aren't our children fortunate to have been born to us?

WOW!! I am so sorry that he said that! Some people are such morons!
I am so sick of people's stupid comments!!!!!! I keep getting that kind of stuff too. We were discussing having another baby and one of my cousins asked me if we plan to have another one. She knows about Marty's CF and when I told her yes, she goes OMG I can't believe you would do that to another baby. I am always making excuses for people's stupidity, but that killed me. I already feel guilty enough.
Another time we were at the Cf center and the dietician told me that she can't believe he has CF because he eats so much! HELLO!!!! My child is small for his age and can fit more food in him than a dump truck. I think she needs another job....IMHO.
I need to come up with some good comebacks as well, but I am also always so stunned that I can't speak!

I would have said "No, the reason the population is so high is because healthy people like you are living until you're 100+ years old. My daughter will live to be 40, if she's very lucky. You have some nerve. If you feel the population is so big, why don't you do this world a favor and remove YOURSELF?"

I worry about that kind of societal ignorance where illness is concerned.

I definitely like my mom's comeback. (Liza's)

I woulda thrown a punch and like was mentioned earlier, brought up cancer and whether he would take medicine for that if he got diagnosed with it.

Thanks for all of the support. It is nice to know that there are people out there who get it. Knowing you have my back will help when I run into this guy, and others like him, in the future.
