I haven't noticed this with DS. When he's very active it tends to be the opposite -- warmer hands and feet. I have a friend whose daughter has a different mutation that DS and she gets overheated just from running around playing with friends and putting on her winter jacket -- she asked me if DS' feet stink as her daughter gets so hot and sweaty.

I recently spoke with someone from Minnesota who indicated that their clinic actually considered playing ice hockey to be equivilant to CPT or a vest treatment as they're breathing harder and giving the lungs a good work out.


IMO, excercise is a good thing.

Hi Suni,

Me and my sister both have CF and both get cold hands all the time, even with out activity. We kinda just suck it up and deal with it. But we've never looked into any causes. We just kinda assumed it was from poor circulation due to CF.

I have had cold hands all my life, esp. during the winter time, feet are warm. For me it does not make any difference whether exerciseing or not. My sats are normal, so I just suck it up and move on. I can put gloves on and hands are cold, and they will sweat at the same time???
