Difficulty getting hypertonic saline

has anyone here ever had problems getting their hypertonic saline??? i go through cvs pharmacy here and for some reason if you mention ANY kind of saline they say they cant get it.... they are calling my drs tomorrow to find out if its under a different name or something that they dont know about so that i can get it. I just think its odd out of all the things i have to take i have trouble getting it. very frustrating because the hypertonic is my new thing that is really helping me breath and get junk out and now i dont have it coming out of the hospital.

several pharmacies didn't know my either.... i just tell them i need 10mL of 3% Sodium chloride and 10mL of 10% sodium chloride. they usually figure it out after that.

For me it doesn't do much, but everyone says it will work when I need it to, so if and when i get it, I will take this leap of faith. Too bad it is so hard and bloody expensive, to get what we need to take care of ourselves. Just wanted you to know that, once again, you are not alone...

I just got the Yellow Pages, and started calling every independent/small chain pharmacy I could find within a 30 min. drive. I found 2 who could get me the boxes of "10mL of 3% Sodium chloride and 10mL of 10% sodium chloride" for respiratory therapy. The big chains, and even my compounding pharmacy, couldn't get it for me.

The pharmacy I chose also "backpiles" it for me when it shows up as available, and I go and get my 3% one month, and the 10% the next <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> .
