Difficulty getting hypertonic saline

My clinic faxed the Rx to CF Services Pharmacy and I get it in the mail with no problems. I have the HyperSal 7% pre-mixed vials. MUCH easier than mixing it myself. I can't tell you how many times I knocked over the remains of that little skinny cylinder on my night stand when I was mixing it myself! LOL!

I haven't asked my regular pharmacy (I use the local grocery store pharmacy) if they can order HyperSal for me. Maybe now that it exists (HyperSal is made by PARI) it's easy for any pharmacy to order???

I too went thru CF Services Pharmacy. And my insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare, fought it the whole way. I had to end up paying over $50 to get it......it takes $3 to manufacture. Makes you sick!
So yes, I did get it thru them, but have to pay for it. Any suggestions on getting it covered thru insurances???

i finally got my hypertonic yesterday. the student who wrote my script didnt do it right so they had to wait on my drs to call them back and tell them what to look up. i got lucky and i only had to pay 16$ for it for a one month supply. i am for sure going to look into the cf pharmacy because it just seems like it is going to be easier to get some of the oddball meds that are cf related.
