Thanks! No, I will not be using the dishwasher to clean the nebs, just dishes. But I want the dishwasher to sterilize the dishes since both my kids have cf, so I don't want to pass bacteria back and forth.
I have been thinking about getting the Bosch, too. However, the fact that it doesn't dry well bothers me. I know it heats up to 160, but having to use a towel to dry the dishes is a negative.

That bothers me too, although it seems like the 800 series dries better than the 300 & 500 according to reviews. It does say that is has some sort of sani-dry system too to keep bacteria from growing... Our current dishwasher doesn't dry very well either, we have to air dry all of the plastic stuff afterwards, its annoying but we are hoping to cut way down on plastic use soon (just about ready to get rid of sippy cups, etc!). For now I just run the washer before bed then pull the tray out to air dry overnight and put them all away in the morning. This works great as long as I don't get off the schedule!

Sanitizing dishes is a good idea, but your kids will be exposed to each other's germs in so many innumerable ways than just dishes.
anytime they cough into their hands and touch something else, that bacteria can sit on that surface for up to 7 days.
it's just trying to prevent a cold from going to family member to family member - it can be done but it's rarely possible year after year after year
