At this point people with CF die from it or complications of it. Until there is an actual cure or unless you get killed in an accident or some other ailment takes your life then YES.

The healthier you keep yourself. The better you keep your lung function, the more chances you have.

MY SON TURNED 24 YESTERDAY iT WAS A PROUD MOMENT. SINCE HE HAD A LIVER TRANSPLANT AT THE AGE OF 11 HE HAS DONE REALLY WELL. NOT AS MANY HOSPITAL STAYS. THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE FOR A CURE, BUT UNTIL THEN ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY. THE LORD TAKES NO ONE BEFORE IT IS TIME. WE HAVE TO LIVE AND LOVE WHILE WE HAVE THE TIME.

yes nearly all people with cf die from it but the average life of a cf person is up to 36 and gets higher each year and there are people on this site with cf that are in their mid 50s maybe some even older, and nearly all of the treatments used today have only been around for about 18-20 years at the most, lots newer. if they can come up with that many treatments in that short a time (for something like cf, that is a very short amount of time) think about what they will have in another 20 years
