Do you crave salt?

We've always referred to Max as "our little salty boy". Loves salt on his hand, loves pickles, chips, pretzels, popcorn. We add salt to his food. Sometimes in the summer when he gets hot, little salt crystals form on his hairline. We make sure he gets lots of water or juice and salty snacks if he's outside playing.

Emily has always had her own salt shaker with her everywhere she went. She puts so much salt on things that you can actually see it. It looks like all her food has been snowed on.
We had to get permission for her to use her salt shaker in school all through grades K-12. THe lunch aides were always taking it away from her and I always had to go and get it back for her.

Salt is my life. I could easily call it my favorite food, except that it doesn't fall within the established food groups. I think most CFers would say the same. I buy pretzels just to like the salt off of them. I'm also kind of a salt snob; I only use sea salt or kosher salt when I cook.

I meant "lick the salt off of them," not "like." And about the sweat: I worked on an organic farm one summer and I used to sweat a lot in the heat. At the end of the day I would go to the sheep barn where they would shove and push each other to get close enough to lick the salt off of my arms. It was fun being a human salt lick!

Hahahaha. I forgot about those nosy lunch ladies. I realize I'm a 4th grader and they're not going to want to listen when a 4th grader says something insane like "extra salt is good for me" but you figure they'd at least check with the nurse (I'm sure I told them to do that at least once) before they TOOK IT AWAY. I hated those ladies. Hate hate. Especially the old b*tchy one was sure she knew everything. I'm done ranting now. lol
