Do you crave salt?

Hahahaha. I forgot about those nosy lunch ladies. I realize I'm a 4th grader and they're not going to want to listen when a 4th grader says something insane like "extra salt is good for me" but you figure they'd at least check with the nurse (I'm sure I told them to do that at least once) before they TOOK IT AWAY. I hated those ladies. Hate hate. Especially the old b*tchy one was sure she knew everything. I'm done ranting now. lol

My kids don't like the taste of salt for some reason. If they see the salt shaker or see me adding salt to their foods they get upset. I find it strange since they need it. Sharon, mom of Sophia, 5 and Jack, 3 both with cf

I can't eat without salt! I ALWAYS salt everything before tasting it. I figure, why ruin the first bite when I know it is going to need salt? My friends and family were always getting on to me for using so much salt but since I have been diagnosed (at age 30) with CF I feel somehow vindicated because I can explain to them that I need it!

Good info. I am still laughing about the sheep licking your arms!!! Weston had his first taste of pure salt today. Ella dumped out the bag of prezel goldfish when there was only salt at the bottom. He went over to it an grabbed a couple of handfulls and shoved them in his mouth.

Sometimes (especially when I was younger), if I was waiting for dinner and hungry... I'd lick my finger, salt it, and then lick the salt off...

To this day, I eat pretzel sticks by chewing off all the salt before I eat the actual pretzel. :X

Yes, Weston seemed to like it. Yet there isn't much he doesn't like. Yesterday he crawled over to the dishwasher while I was loading it and took a spoon with left over mac n' chz on it and ate it before I could get to him. Yuck!
I found something he didn't like the other day though. Spinach! I guess I should have put salt on it!!!
