Do you know where the "BEST

Bumping this back up to the top. I heard from my CFF person that they will soon be releasing the rankings of the centers. (And she said that everyone is nervous about it too.) Sounds like they will share rankings on various facets... nutrition, lung function, etc.

By the way... I missed the last post on this list back in May... if the person is still around asking about Iowa clinics... you can PM me at cftwins. We use U of I.

Not sure what area you're from but,Vanderbilt in Nashville has a great facility..period. We have had our daughter there for non-related to cf probs...we have been going to the cf clinic for a year this month..excellent..staff is very caring & understanding....they are always updating & very informative & willing to discuss anything with you..my husband is not very comfortable with doctor lingo & they are very good about making sure you understand everything & even answering his questions with a straight & serious face..I on the other hand always lose it!! HA!HA!

Not sure what area you're from but,Vanderbilt in Nashville has a great facility..period. We have had our daughter there for non-related to cf probs...we have been going to the cf clinic for a year this month..excellent..staff is very caring & understanding....they are always updating & very informative & willing to discuss anything with you..my husband is not very comfortable with doctor lingo & they are very good about making sure you understand everything & even answering his questions with a straight & serious face..I on the other hand always lose it!! HA!HA!

I also heard that they were going to release the info. I just keep forgetting to ask.

I have noticed through the different posts that different people have had to endure more invasive things than my children. My older daughter had meconium ileus very bad but the hospital where she was cleared it without a bag (thankfully). But, I have heard time and time again about little ones that have had to have the bag.

I do think that there has to be some clinics better than others.

Has anyone heard anything about Wash U's center at Children's in St. Louis? We have been happy there, but it has only been a few months so we are not as experienced as the rest of you. I know Lo got her transplant at their adult center, but I was curious how they ranked as well.

The CFF is releasing all the scores of the centers towards January of 2007. The numbers and stats will be displayed in the graphs of every center . We spoke to two of the people who work for the CFF and are working on the best way to release the info.If you ask your clinic, I am sure they know about it.
