I made my own baby food too! It tastes so much better! I even made chicken...boiled it until it was easy to break into chunks and then put it in the blender with the water it was boiled in. I froze it in ice cube trays too I think one cube = 2 table spoons?? It's been a while ... The only veggie I had trouble getting the texture right on was peas??? Have Fun!!

Daycare just ground up whatever the other kids were having. His CF doctor indicated that because baby food was low in fat and sodium that we should just grind up whatever we were having. For convenience sake, a lot of times I'd doctor up baby food -- the meats and mac & cheese, which he loved. I had a small food grinder I used for casseroles, pasta... He also loved yogurt and I still recall his being about 8 months old and just shoveling in the high fat yogurt. He couldn't get enough of it.

What age is it ok to feed babies yogurt? I think Emma would like it. She is not a picky eater. She will eat anything I give her.

I need to find a list of foods to avoid, I know she should not have honey, strawberries, milk until she is 12 months. I think I read to avoid eggs too???
