DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT

It is great that he sat down and explained it to her. He sounds like a good and caring doctor. Sometimes it takes someone outside the family to truely get the point across. Now she knows what you were telling her was in her best interest and not being an overprotective mother. Hopefully she will listen to him and get back on track. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I hope it sinks in...I have to admit that I used to not be the best at taking my meds. My husband noticed and he said, "You do know...that just becaus eyou don't take your meds...it doesn't change the fact that you are sick right?"

I'm thinking of her...and you too!

Awesome Seana...that is great news! I hope that everything works out and Courtney will jumpstart taking her meds...we all go through stages like that and sometimes we do need to hear it from someone other than mom, no offense.

Sounds you have a GREAT Doctor for Courtney, one who takes time to sit and talk with her and try to make her realize she needs to take charge of her own health....Awesome!

I almost fell out of my chair when I read what her height and weight is! She's an incha nd a half taller than me but 30 pounds less! I can't imagine it. I would be going crazy if my child were that thin. It sounds like you have a good doc though. I hope she listened and took to heart what he said. Good luck.

jessi, remember that teens weigh less than adults of the same height.
