does anyone do this?

We were told it's not a good idea to use the neb cup that is used for any other medication. Pulmazyme chemically binds to other medications (I am not sure of the correct scientific term... some medications are safe to mix, but this one isn't due to altering of the chemical properties of what it's mixed with.) I guess there is concern over residue left behind even after proper cleaning.

I was told by an RT and my old ped doc that the salt breaks down the bonds in pulmozyme rendering it useless.

So I was always told to do pulmozyme first even inhaled so that way it had time to work, then do hts (if doing consecutively) so that the left over hts in lungs wouldnt therefore render the pulmozyme useless..

And I was told (lol) to do the HS first (well, after Xopenex ), wait at least 15 minutes, and then do Pulmozyme. I do my vest (30 minutes minimum) in between HS and pulmozyme. I do know that the pulmozyme still works doing that, because if I miss it in the morning, I feel it later in the day. I've read somewhere here that pulmozyme is long acting (4 hours?), so that's why I do it second. And I'm one of the weird ones who needs Pulmozyme twice a day, but I'm old and have a 53% fev1...

We were ALSO told: HTS first, then pulmozyme, in different neb cups. The HTS is supposed to thin secretions so that the pulmozyme can break them up and carry them away! Or something like that. LOL!

We use different neb cups for everything. We even have a specific morning saline cup vs a night saline cup. Not that time of day matters to the cup, but, it's a quick check that everything has been washed, boiled and is in its place.
