Does anyone know how to shrink a pic?

I keep trying to download a pic and it says it is too big. How do you make it smaller. Also how do you add it to your signature?

To add a signature, click on "profile" you can add it from that page.

I have never done anything with shrinking a picture on this site, but to make them smaller for sending in emails we have always used a free program from microsoft called image resizer (power toys for windowsXP).

I thought for a second that you were wondering how to shrink your picc line. I'm a tad slow today. LOL

To shrink a picture, you need to open it in photoshop or some program like that. When you open a jpeg, you see a line of icons on the bottom of the screen of the jpeg - one of the icons is an edit icon. You can then shrink the image. Hope that makes sense.

File>Open
Image>Image Size... (Ctrl+Alt+I)
File>Save

The image resizing power toy is very good all around, good picture quality, and very convenient.

Or you can open PAINT which comes standard with any Windows version you may be running (sorry if you have a MAC).

You can clikc "resize" there and save the pic.

To have a pic displayed in your profile, I upload my pics to photobuck.com.

Then there's a link once you upload to photobucket that you can put in your profile.

Go to <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://imageshack.us/">http://imageshack.us/</a> and host the picture.

Then take the 'Embeddable Code:' and past it in you signature.


If that doesn't work sling me an e-mail and I'll see what we can do from there.
