Hi guys,

Aztreonam for Inhalation (was caused Azli, is now going under the brand name Cayston) was approved in Europe a bit ago. An FDA panel recently recommended approving it here in the US. That doesn't mean it will be approved, but the FDA usually follows the panel's recommendations. The FDA will be meeting in February to review Aztreonam's new trial results.

It is the same eflow that everyone is talking about - nothing different.

I did the trial, and had trouble with only one nebulizer, which I think had a defect. I sterilized it the same way I do my other meds, with the exception of the head... that I put in alcohol as the directions indicated.

I know you can use other meds in the eflow, but I have heard that their dosing is different. It is also my understanding that it is also somewhat experimental, since studies have not been done to determine exact dosing in the eflow.
