Nothing yet as far as I know but we did save Amelia's. Our reasons are:

1. If Amelia could benefit in any way from it.
2. If DH's rare lymphoproliferative disease ever becomes active again
3. If it will ever be used to treat or cure CF (I am probably 20-35 years from being end stage)

Cord blood is only usually enough to treat a child or an adult under 100 lbs. We told the doc to get as much as possible and we did get a larger than normal amount. We will bank a second child's cord blood too when we have our second child.
