I have an elderly neighbor who is Polish & went into the hospital. She has pneumonia which is complicated by her history of heart problems & she is requiring surgery of some type for the heart. She is very scared & her children are not of real support for some reason. She is very limited in speaking English so i am sure she cant read much either. I wanted to send a Get Well Card from us, but want to do it in Polish. I have looked on the internet for translation sites, but most dont offer English to Polish without having to buy some type of program or software. Can anyone possible help me?

=-) Online dictionaries can be weird, though, with incorrect sentance structure and wording, so it makes foreign people laugh at you. =-) You could also check the library for English to polish books. If you do find someone who speaks and writes polish, though, that would of course be best. =-)

I havent heard anything yet. I spoke with my other neighbor who has been keeping me updated & I let her know that I sent cards out so maybe she will get some feedback. I have no doubt that they will be a hit. Especially the one from my daughter. This elderly lady thinks my daughter is the next best thing to sliced bread. Thats probably because she doesnt live with her. Only kidding!
My neighbor came home to gather belongings before moving in with her daughter. She thanked me & indicated with her hands that she got the card & kissed, kissed, kissed then she showed me the tears coming down her face. She was very happy that we sent it. Her son in law verified that she did understand the translation & it made her day. This woman gave me the biggest, hardest & longest hug from an old lady (no offense to anyone) that I have had in a long time. It felt great! I could not have done it without Mockingbird!
