I got a letter in the mail today saying that I had to order my "specialty" meds (Tobi and Pulmozyme) from one of these three companies now, instead of the CF Services Pharmacy- Accredo Health, CVS/Caremark, Triessent. Any suggestions on who to use, or, at the least, who to avoid? I'm thinking I've had not so good service from Caremark in the past, but I'm not 100% sure. Help please!

UGH!!! Specialty Pharmacies!! I could go on all day...
Our insurance changed a few years ago and we had to start ordering all of Andrew's maintenance meds through express scripts mail order pharmacy. All of his specialty meds, (pulmozyme and TOBI) had to be ordered through the Express Script specialty pharmace called CuraScript.
While Express Script encourages three month scripts of all of his meds, CuraScript will only fill a 30 day supply. And because our copay for each med is $250, we pay $250 one month, $500 the next depending on his TOBI rotation. So, my advice would be to ask those pharmacies if they allow three month supplies to avoid monthly copays.
Also, every time I refill his meds I am asked by the CSR if we need new injection supplies with our order. UGH again! I want to throw the phone every time I have to explain to his "specialty pharmacy" what I am ordering.
If I were you I would call and talk with a customer service rep and see if they even know what Pulmozyme and TOBI are. That may give you a clue as to where you would recieve better service.

I have used CF Services for my HyperSal - good experience with them, I guess. Nothing extraordinary, but nothing terrible either. When I was under my parents' insurance they kept trying to get my to order Pulmozyme and TOBI through CF Services, but I used a different pharmacy (can't remember name?) b/c they were cheaper than CF Services.

I don't seem to have a problem w/ Express Script (for singulair, advair, etc) but CuraScript is such a pain...I've wasted too many hours of my life on the phone fighting with those stupid people and they STILL haven't got billing set up w/ my CF Patient Assistance. I digress, though...

I've worked with both Accredo and Caremark. I don't think Caremark is only a specialty pharamacy where Accredo is. I've never heard of the other one you mentioned. Accredo had good service including callign for refills which is a service I like that CF Services Pharma does not offer.

We use the Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy for pulmozyme. They have been FABULOUS!!! They call me once a month to see when to schedule delivery. They overnight it in a cooler with ice and its always delivered on time to our door. They bill both our insurance companies, so no co-pay at all. When we didn't have the second insurance, they would let us pay every 3 months instead of monthly.
Overall I've been very pleased and would highly reccommend. I don't know if Triessent is the name of the pharmacy, I've just heard they are Walgreen's Speciality Pharmacy and they are located out of Denver I believe.
