Grayson is doing great at home now. Almost 6 mo's old. She actually is up to 12lbs 6oz. Mommy is fattening her up. There is one problem that we are dealing with. She wakes everynite and throws up as many as 3 times. She does have acid reflux and sleeps inclined. You can hear her stomach make noises then she starts crying and then vomits. The Drs said she did that at the hospital and said it was a good thing cause she was getting rid of the mucus. She only does this at night and not during the day when she is mostly upright. She is on a G tube also that they have been trying to up on her. It seems to me that she started to vomit more at night after they upped her feeds. Any suggestions???

It sometimes takes a while to regulate the formula delivery rate so that they will tolerate it. You can slow it down a little. Have your daughter call the GI nurse or nutritionist for ideas. It is so frustrating, but look at the results!

She slowed down the feeds last night and Graycie only threwup once. So she doing that for now cause it does seem to work better. Thanks, she is upping the feeds during the day and it doesn't seem to effect her during the day as much as at night. So now she is trying to bottle feed and spoon feed her more. She is getting weighed every couple of days by the homehealth nurse so we feel comfortable lowering it at night.

I'm just so happy that Grayson is doing so well. It sounds like Jane's advice helped. She knows her stuff! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Keep updating us.
