Doing Vest Treatments

A friend of mine just used this in the hospital after getting her port too. That hospital called it a half vest (I think that is what she said), but I would call it shoulderless LOL!

We were given a piece of foam (donut) to use when Briceton's port is accessed. They have also used a wash cloth for cushion as well.

We used to use a washcloth with Samantha when she was accessed, but it doesn't bother her any more so we just loosen that side a little bit and do vest as normal.

I do my vest ESPECIALLY when I'm on IV's.
I had some discomfort this last time so I told the RT's at the hospital and they ordered me some foamy blue pad type things. You cut a hole where your needle would be and then place that over it. Then your needle won't get rubbed, etc.
