Doripenem AKA Doribax

I just started Doribax today along with oral Levoquin b/c I'm resistant to everything else (except the inhaled Colisitn I do for maintanance). I know this is a new drug and don't know much about it and wonder if anyone else has been on it and what their experience was? I am using it to treat PA. I will be taking it IV for 2 weeks. Hope this is something new that can help all us CFers! <img src="i/expressions/iv.gif" border="0">

Well, it seems like no one else has tried this drug since I've gotten no responces back but I'd like to let you know my experience with it in case you do get put on it. I did it every 8 hours for 2 weeks and also Levaquin once a day for 2 weeks. I feel so much better and my 02 saturation has gone from 93% to 96% even saw it get up to 97% a few times. I will be interested in seeing what my PFT's will show. I have an appointment at the end of June and will repost to let you all know if there was improvement there. So far I am really impressed! I'm sure the Levoquin helped but for such a big increase, I doubt it was the Levoquin alone.
