HELP! The "winter blues" have got me down! It's starting to finally get a little warm around here, and I'm DYING to go outside!!!!!! My last doxycycline pill is on Thursday... When should I go outside again? My soul needs sunshine...

Anyone else feel like crap because of this weather? I'm so ready to go outside. I feel like all of our health will improve once this winter passes and the weather stops being so crazy.

How long do you guys usually wait for Doxy to wear off?

Hi Jennifer,

I've never taken doxycycline, but I get winter blues too and am so glad it's getting sunny again. I wanted to reply to bump it back up, since nobody's responded yet. Good luck - I hope someone has an answer for you.

You don't need to 100% avoid the sun.

You just need to be aware that you are going to be much more sensitive to sunburns. The time you can be exposed to the sun before you have UV damage is much less.

However, since it is winter... your risk of UV exposure is less than in the summer.

This link is a map of the US showing the current UV index. The higher the index, the faster you will sunburn.
