I am just wondering if anyone else has experience with dried up
blood in their mucus. I am a 38 year old female who is
feeling good. I had a couple of strands of Pseudo. The
last couple of weeks I've been getting dried up blood from time to
time. I can tell it's been in there awhile. I've been
exercising more lately and my O2 sat has gradually gone up from 89,
I was getting over a cold a month ago, to 97 yesterday which is my
best. I feel that it is good, that I am clearing out a bunch
of old stuff from my lungs. But I am curious as to what
others experiences are with it. I got the cold at the
beginning of July on a trip to Vegas. I took cipro for ten
days, and also started my tobi. After the cipro, I was
feeling back to normal somewhat but continued the tobi as usual.
I really felt bad like I was dying. I was exhausted,
sleeping alot, doing all of my treatments, and really depressed.
the worst part was the being unable to breath al throughout
the day. One day I checked my o2 oximeter to get an idea of
where I was at compared to the past. I woke up at 93, did my
treatments and went down to 89. The next day I checked it
again and the same thing happened my numbers went down after my
albuterol and tobi. So the third day i didn't do the
albuterol and tobi, I just did my advair and went about my
business. I felt so different the third day. I could
breath finally throughout the whole day, I had energy, I didn't
have to watch my breathing all day like I 'had, and the most weird
thing was that my depression was lifted. Since then I've been
increasing my exercise and I'm feeling so much better. I
think I am one of those people that experiences bronchospasms with
those nebulized medications. The amount of mucus that I am
producing is reduced and there isn't as much of it as before.
Also, in regards to the dried blood, I had not experienced
any hemopytosis(spelling?) recently which is even weirder to me.
I used to have like twenty crackles when I'd breath in and
now I don't have any, so my theory is that I'm coughing up alot of
old mucus.
