Thanks everyone. When I got over to my boyfriends house he was actually high so no drinking for us. But the good thing is, is because he was high and so out of it I got to watch two hours of What Not to Wear. All in all, a healthier and better night for me

And no, I didn't get high

My advice to anyone on iv meds: Dont drink! Wait until you are feeling better and are out of the hospital. I was recently supposed to be in the hospital for a three week course of antibiotics. While I am in the hospital they allow me to leave in between my meds. One Friday night I left and was meeting a few friends...I wound up "drunk as a skunk" and didnt return to the hospital that night at 11pm like i was supposed to I walzed in at like 12 the next day. The people at the hospital were furious and immediatly discharged me saying I was not taking my health seriously or putting the effort they were to get myself better. Now I really regret this one night of fun. It is completely irresponsible of me but there is not much I can do now. My infection didnt get cleared up and is really bad now and I feel I cannot go back to them for more treatment. I dunno what I am going to do. So dont let this happen to you cause it sux! Plus I was dumb because I have a weird liver thing so this made them especailly peed off

I cant believe this.....IMHO this is quite different then asking if its ok to have some drinks while on home iv's. Not only did you risk your health, but you put the hospital in a very liable situation. This type of thing is what makes us prisoners at times while admitted. You dont need my lecture...you are bearing the REACTIONS of your ACTIONS....hope you can bounce back!

I am "baring the reaction of my actions" I shared that story but i didn't explain myself good enough I guess. I am not a huge drinker but I know what my limit is. When I went out my intention was just to have a couple of drinks but because I was on the meds or something it got me very intoxicated. I didn't tell that story to like make myself look stupid or something cause I know it was, I told it so people will know that when you are being pumped with meds you shouldnt drink because your body will most likely react differently than normal. I'm sorry JazzysMom ( melissa ) you feel like I am wrecking it for other cfers when they are admitted, that wasnt my intention. Anyways ByeBye
