Okay so I admit we have a big rat in the house.....& his name is Reece <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> He has this fasination about chewing his neb tubing & hes putting holes in it!! UGH! He has gone through 3 since yesterday....& Im all out of tubing. Tape dosent work!

So on to my question.....do I need to get a special dose for xopenox & pulmozyme to go into the eflow? I know with TOBI you do.....but wasnt sure about the other 2. I admit I like using the eflow much better then the slow compressor, even though Reece as a newer one......its still slow compared to the eflow! Thanks!

Oh yeah, when you do use both xopenox & pulmozyme in the eflow.....do you have 2 different cups, or rinse & dry between....or do you just use a different head?

Hi, We use almost all inhaled meds in the eflow. Yes, all you do is rinse btwn the meds and clean throughly after done with it for the day. I even swish the head in some alcohol btwn meds.

I know that pulmozyme is the same dose, no needed changes you can use what you have. Not sure about the other med because we don't use that one. Call the eflow folks, they will know and are great about it. I imagnine if it does need to be reformulated, they will get the script, mix it, and send it within a day or two, maybe even express it so you will have some by tomorrow, by Friday for sure. They are great that way! One of the friendliest and easiest to work with for CF meds and needs.

Hope this helps,

Leah,

We use the eflow with most of Garrans meds. The Xopenex doesnt require a different dose, and the Pulmozyme doesnt either. We also have used it for inhaled Vancomycin. The best and quickest way to get it cleaned and dry between nebs is to use alcohol, it dries quicker than water.

Although you shouldnt have to rince between xopenex and pulmozyme if you do the xopenex first. And if it is right after each other. then clean it out after the pulmozyme because it will get clogged.

Hope this helps.
