The Star tribune of Minneapolis St Paul reports larger plans are paying about $35 for a doctor to provide an e-visit. Interestingly, after 3 years, one of the plans with 75,000 subscribers reports less than a 100 patients per year use the service. This may be an interesting concept for families and patients attending to CF health care rendering. There seem to be too many stories of people and practitioners being too unaware of signs and symptoms with CF health profiles. A "few" specialists could be available to those in rural or even urban settings where the otherwise practitioners are not up on their CF game. The article may be all the more interesting, as it comes form the state where the University of Minnesota has some standing in the fight against CF.
