eflow and Hypertonic Saline?

My 18 month old does his hypertonic in the e-flow without any problems he loves it and does a happy dance when he sees his e-flow. He probably is only on the 3% though.

On the other hand my 8yo has tried it and he coughs lots and has to stop it inbetween.

I have been doing saline in the e-flow for about a yr now. It is way faster than in a regular neb, but much stronger. The first couple times I did it I coughed and gagged the entire time! but now im pretty used to it. I noticed a definite difference.

hey caitlin, i just saw your question! sorry! yeah i hold it in my hand usually to keep it upright/at the right angle or sometimes i just set it on the table/desk that i sit at to do vest, nebs etc. i've never had a problem unless i stop paying attention and accidentally drop it, which has happened <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

also you have to be sure to rinse the aerosol head immediately after to use it with HTS because the salt clogs it up pretty bad if you let it sit and dry in there....good luck!
