We have the same issues. My two daughters use the trio and we have the same problems with the head starting to gradually clog and sloooowwww down. We do everything recommended by foundation care and still have issues. I wish I had a solution for you and am hoping that someone will post one!

<br />I have also thought about doing their HTS with our old Pari set up since I know that medicine is the culprit, but with two sets of treatments, twice a day I just haven't wanted to go that route yet!

You're supposed to clean the handset between meds or use a different handset. It could be that the medications are reacting with one another when you put them in the same cup and are creating larger particles, which then clogs up the head. I would definitely rinse with soap between to see if that helps!

Interesting. Cause Foundation Care said as long as I do one med right after the other which I do the TRIO is so efficient in using all the medication that I would not have to do any cleaning between the meds. I also did talk to them and they said across the board the HTS and Pulmozyme cause the head to clog. Total bummer! For now I using my pari lc plus and compressor for the HTS and pulmo and the TRIO with Albuterol and Antibiotic. We shall see how that works out. It is the most time efficient way right now since the clogging head increases neb time far to long for the two drugs ( takes 1.5 hours!)

Thanks!

Have you tried using the Pari easy care?
Not sure if it has a technical name or not.
But it cleans out any left over residue from the aerosol head, by reversing cleaning liquid backwards through the aerosol head, using ultra sonic waves.
You simply rinse the aerosol head under warm - hot water, then add some sodium chloride into the easy care device and attach the device to your e-flow, then turn on the e-flow. It takes around 5 mins to clean the head.

I use this method once a week to keep my aerosol head as clean as poss.
I've noticed an improvement since using this.

Hope this helps.
