eFlow vs. Altera

I just got my Altera today with my first shipment of Cayston and it looks exactly like the eFlow that I had when I did a clinical trial here awhile back. What's the difference in the two? And I know they say not to, but does anyone take Tobi in it?

The only difference I've noticed (since I have both in front of me right now) is that the Altera is digital. I think I'm going to be using the Altera from now on for both my tobramycin and Cayston and using the specific heads for each drug. I don't think it matters which machine you use as long as the HEAD is the right one for the drug.

The electronic part is the same (just a few superficial differences) and can operate either head. I was using the altera for my cayston and tobra but my daughter pulled it onto the floor and the battery compartment cover broke. So now I'm using the trio. And like Leah said, I just use the different heads for the different meds. I think the only difference between the heads is the metal piece. Everything else is the same.

Does anyone know if there is really any technical difference in the head? Or, are the altera and trio just cosmetically different?

Lou Lou my doctor said that the heads and electronic devices were set at different sizes and rates specifically formatted for the Cayston aka altera...

do I have proof, not really, only except that she said that.
