Eflow...what meds can you use with it???

If you read my other post you know that my (usually) trusty compressor is not working properly.  It blows air through the tubing but the neb cups are not getting any of it...for whatever reason.
I do have an eflow...and I really need to be able to do treatments.  I do Albuterol, HyperSal, Dnase and Tobi at the moment.  I would like to know which nebs you do through the eflow.  If I remember correctly albuterol is not supposed to be used...and I do have an inhaler version that I can use instead.  I know it doesn't work as well for me, but for the time being...would be worth it.
I can stop the Tobi, I have been on it almost a month, so maybe at least until I get a new compressor...I don't know.
PLEASE let me know ASAP!  I missed out on treatments so far and I feel as if I really need it.  <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

I have heard various things honestly. i have heard albuterol is okay actually, but like you said it might be bets just to do 4 puffs of your inhaler version.

I heard pulmozyme gunks the head up so I wouldnt do that one for sure. And lastly I have heard yes and no with saline, but I think the main complaint is that its obviously super strong haha.

Honestly for now, I would probably just do the saline in it so at least you got something which is better than nothing you know?

I have done
Pulmozyme, Hypertonic Saline, Colimycine and Combivent with my Eflow.
Just have to change the mesh every 3 to 6 months.

Just wash it out right after your neb and it won't be clogged up too fast.

Beside Cayston, I do Tobi 1/2 ampule due to the effiency of the altera nebulizer, on my alt. month from the Cayston. As stated previously in the other post, wash the head asap after use in hot soapy water then rinse in hot water. I use the steam sterilizer that came with the altera nightly. Cayston takes 90 120 sec.Tobi takes 3-4 min. I get 3 months with one altera nebulizer. Hope this helps.

I was using the Eflow aka the TRIO for Albuterol, HTS, Pulmo and then Colistin and the metal head just could NOT handle all that and it completely defeated the purpose of using the E-flow technology cause it was sooooo slow. So I just use my TRIO for Coli and my Alterra for Cayston with no problems what so ever and the meds are done in minutes. The Albuterol, HTS and Pulmozyme I use the Pari LC Plus for those.

Officially, Tobi and Colistin are the only meds approved for use with the TRIO. Pulmozyme, hypertonic, and albuterol are all off-label uses, so use at your own discretion, and they do clog the head over time.
Altera should ONLY be used with Cayston.

The company that I received my eflow from told me I could do Abuterol, hypertonic saline and tobi. Just no pulmozyme. So that's what I do.
