Eflow...where to get more.

So I started to use my eflow for more than just the AZLI...the HTS as well. Well I just started an on month of the AZLI and I find it difficult to do both in the same nebulizer. I have been told to wash out the neb pieces and then wait for them to dry...but I dont have time for that. I am wondering what pharmacy sells eflows, and how much it will cost me to get the piece. Since I got the one I currently use from Gilead through the study, I dont think I can just ask them for another one (because they would make me send the old one back...which defeats the purpose of getting another one). The bottom line is I want two...one for AZLI and one for HTS.

I would appreciate any advice. Oh and if I do order a new piece, do I have to be getting my HTS from that pharmacy? Thanks! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I'm sorry to say you're probably out of luck when it comes to getting another Eflow. I don't know of anyone other than Foundation Care who leases them. You're not really supposed to use HTS in it either because the saltwater can corrode the metal piece in there. Also, they're expensive just to lease and pay out of pocket. I think the number they told me was $750 a month to lease it.

As much as I want to do the HTS in my Eflow, I don't. I use the Pari Trek for that one. For HTS I'd rather have it take longer to do anyway, because then I am assured that I am getting out as much mucus as possible. Spending 3-5 minutes with the Eflow hardly seems effective for me and I don't feel as much lasting benefit.

Caitlin.....there is a big debate over using the eflow for other meds, just so you know. You may know that already. Have they not given you another eflow neb since you have been in the study for a while. They should replace it for you now and then. I got mine replaced the last time I went for clinic. You could potentially use the OLD one then for HS. I would want to ask my doc before I did anything like that though and you really can't ask since you are going to be using study equipment.

I will tell you that the new neb I got last clinic had a price tag of $315 I believe. Now I am just talking about the neb piece.....not the blue part or compressor.

if i understand you right, you just want more plastic pieces.

i have 4 sets myself for the reasons you stated. i got my pieces from foundation care and the prices varied on the insurance i had at the time.

1 set cost me about $100 and other was free - all dependent on what insurance would pay for.

so they're easy to get - just depends on what you are willing / how much you have to spend.

happy e-flowing! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
