So my husband is trying to get an eFLow from IV solutions, it has been taking forever. He talked to them today and I think that he was getting a lot of bad information from them. Before he calls them again, I want to make sure that I have all of my information right.

Is everyone leasing the eFLow? If not, where did you buy yours and how did you pay for it (cash, insurance, etc.)? (Because my husband was told that we can only lease it while using Colistin and no other drug). The person at IV solutions also told him that he could ONLY use colistin in the eFlow and nothing else because colistin was the only "doctor approved" medicine to be used in the eFLow device. I know that others on this site use the eFlow for other meds though.

Anyone else use IV Solutions? If so, what meds do you use with the eFlow?

Also is there a part that needs to be replaced regularly on the eFlow? If so, how often do you have to replace with the number of meds you do.

Oh, I use mine for Pulmozyme, Colistin, and hypertonic saline (though they suggest against that, because the salt clogs the head filter piece).

Oh and I got mine through Foundation Care. I also got free vitamins. Haha.

I have been working with Foundation Care for my Eflow. I previously used them for my hypertonic saline. I will be recieving my eflow on Tuesday. My biggest question was can I do the HS in it. They said yes but make sure I wash it right afterwards so the salt doesn't clog it. Then I can do my next medicine. Foundation Care has been supplying the Eflow since it came out (3 years ago) so they are very knowlegable about it. Good Luck.
