So mine are up and have been staying up and the doc says there is nothing to do for them other than to stay away from alcohol and Tylenol.

He also said it is the CF affecting your liver. Sucks!!! Does anyone out there do anything to keep their liver healthy.

I feel so helpless not being able to do anything for the liver!

Thanks!

I was on actigal for a number of years but it only slowed down the process of the liver disease for me. I ended up having a liver transplant along with my lungs in January 2007. There really is not a whole lot to do other than stay away from the Tylenol and alcohol. The good news about the liver though is that it normally does not deteriorate as fast as the lungs. We first found my liver problems in 1995 and if I hadn't needed the lungs, I would not have had a liver transplant yet. I got the liver because they thought that my own liver would not handle all of the new meds with the shape that it was already in.

I would say ask the doctor about the actigal to see if that will help.
