Hi,

I posted here earlier in the year but sadly we lost our baby 9 weeks into the pregnancy. But I am now pregnant again following a 2nd successful IVF cycle and now at 10.5 weeks after a couple of very good scans so really hoping that this little one will make it.

Would love to make contact with Nicole, Julie, and all the other posters who were so supportive to me a few months ago and of course any other CF mums-to-be who are around at the moment.

Talk to you soon,

Elizab

Congratulations!

I am very excited for you. I was told by my IVF docs once you have had a scan and are beyond 6 weeks your chances are very very good, better than someone at 11 weeks without a scan! How wonderful. How is your CF doing?

a friend of mine is starting IVF soon and she also is living in Dublin (or very close) her 'practice' cycle got cancelled because she fell ill, I bet you two would have alot to talk about--she comes here sometimes.

Thanks Nicole,

good to chat to you again - it is so reassuring to have had positive scans - our last was just this week and we could see a strong heartbeat and even little arms and legs moving!
That's v interesting about your friend doing IVF - maybe I'll get to chat to her in the next while - she might be reassured to know that our cycles have had positive results.

Talk soon,

Elizab

Congratulations! Sounds like your due date is very close to mine. I am 10 weeks and 2 days pregnant, due 8/8. I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and we saw the baby and heartbeat. I lost a pregnancy in the fall at 7 weeks - blighted ovum. I purchased a doppler on eBay and it has been reassuring to check in on the baby once in a while. I was able to find the heartbeat at home at 8 weeks 5 days. Before I had my miscarriage I said I wouldn't use a home doppler this time but now that I've experienced the loss the doppler has allowed me to ease up a bit since I have no idea when I'll get another u/s and my symptoms start to go away around 9 weeks.

Anyway, glad to have you back <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
