embolization

My first one did only because i was so scared to do anything that i literally sat around for weeks till i felt it was safe to get moving and exercising again.... BIG mistake !!
My second and thrid one i didnt lose lung function because as soon as i was allowed out of bed i got up and walked around.... Limped for a few days because my grion area hurt at first, but that subsided within a day or two. Now for about 2 weeks or so i did have noticeably lower lung function, but with walking on the treadmill 10 minutes at a time 3 times a day i got right back to where i was before. Had i done that right from the beginning when i had my first embolization i'd have saved myself a good bit of lung function. Take it slowly at first and work your way up, it takes time to feel better after an embolization, and also takes time to get things back to normal. Dont rush it and certainly dont push youself, just pace yourself and walk at a comfortable speed for a few days and gradually step it up a bit as time goes by.

Right afterwards, for about a week, I definitely felt out of breath and it ached with coughing as if its flu. Remember, with constant inflammation over the years the arteries enlarge, so blocking one or two off can be a bit of a shock to your lungs, because they are so big and you are cutting the blood supply. Depending on how many they closed off, it can slightly reduce fev's because of lack of blood...but your body is supposed to start growing new ones soon, so should be temporary
